Latest DVLA number plate auction results

The latest DVLA private number plate auction was held at the Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands, in Surrey. The auction was a three day event held over the 6th, 7th and 8th of September.

Some of the prices achieved in this auction surprised members of the public along with private registration brokers themselves, there were many dateless number plates available and to name a few that exceeded all expectations were:

100 O selling for £55,000 plus all the fees, also 50 OOO fetched £28,000 plus all the fees. These two marks were definately the star attractions in this particular auction. There were some other great 2 and 3 digit dateless plates going under the hammer 888 JL, 888 CW and 888 AF which are a favourite amongst the Chinese community and 999 EE for anyone in the emergency services, and for all those road side recoveries there was 7000 AA.

Although there were also many named plates, I think the dateless plates in this auction were the high flyers.

For anyone who missed out on this auction the next personalised number plate event will be held on the 14th, 15th and 16th November, there will be around another 1500 private registration marks up for grabs and the auction will be held at Ardencote Manor Hotel and Country Club, Lye Green Road, Claverdon, Warwick CV35 8LT.

Any unsold lots are also available to view and will be available to purchase in future auctions throughout the year.
