DVLA and NI Northern Ireland Personalised Plates


From the 21st of July the management team for operations of existing Northern Ireland Private Registrations sales scheme conducted by the DVA will be moved to the DVLA.

The existing auction that Wilsons in Belfast holds will continue throughout 2014

As a result of the amalgamation of the DVA and the DVLA there will be change in the vehicle registration number assignment rules. from the 21st of July Northern Ireland and Great Britain customers will be able to assign any format of vehicle registration number directly onto vehicles from a V750 certificate of entitlement.

They will be replacing all NI V750 forms with United Kingdom V750 forms after the 21st of July 2014.

it is advised to destroy your old NI V750 forms.

It will be the first time in history that Northern Ireland customers will be able to retain there registration on a retention certificate.

It is advised to send all new applications to the DVLA after the 14th of July 2014.
