Organisers say the event could attract huge interest from people with an array of personal interests, from bikers to fans of the Stig as well as offering the chance to find your very own “named” number plate.
The DVLA Personalised Registrations’ auction at the Haycock Hotel, Wansford, near Peterborough, takes place from Wednesday, September 24 to Friday, September 26.
Among the registrations expected to prove popular are ROS 551 – likely to attract bikers wanting to pay homage to Moto GP hero Valentino Rossi – and THE 571G, which could prove popular with Top Gear fans.
Other notable personalised registrations going under the auctioneers’ hammer include OO07 DBS, while BOR 11S may shine on London Mayor Boris Johnson’s car and, for romantics, there’s KUP 1D.
With 51 NGH fetching £254,000 in April 2006, DVLA Personalised Registrations is anticipating considerable interest in other registrations that could relate to Asian names including 27 RAJ and GUP IE.
