The DVLA private number plate auction reserve prices have been lowered as from January 2015.
The first number plate auction of the year will be held between the 12th and 21st of January, this auction will now include personalised registration marks with reserves ranging from £130 - £800. Full details of the price changes are listed below.
This timed auction will be the first private number plate auction which will incorporate Northern Ireland format registration marks and will also retain the same reserve prices as Wilsons sealed bid sales. These reserve prices range from £75 - £175.
The lowered reserve prices will be a trial for DVLA and they will then analyse the information collected to come to a conclusion and this will then determine the outcome for the personalised number plate auctions reserve prices in the future. The reserve prices used in this trial will also be applied to the Timed auction in March and the traditional auction in May however the number plate reserve prices for the traditional auction in May have not yet been established.
